The term ESP can sometimes crop up in a tarot reading or psychic reading, and although psychics will be very familiar with the term, it may need further explaining for you to understand the delicate methods used by psychics.
ESP stands for Extra Sensory Perception, which basically is understood to be the acquisition of information without using the five senses that we use every day. In terms of the psychic realm, it is a blanket term to refer to a number of different psychic methods.
Telepathy: the process of transferring information from one person to another without using physical methods.
Precognition: this is where the details of future events are gained without the use of external information or knowledge.
Clairvoyance: the process of acquiring knowledge about places, events or people without using the regular five senses.
These three areas of ESP are frequently used by psychics who will have undoubtedly exercised their skills in each area throughout their years of practise.
